Continue your SCUBA discovery with the advanced adventurer specialty program
If you had decided that diving is a sport you want to really immerse yourself in, then its time for you to continue your adventure with SSI's continuing education program. If you are not sure what area interests you the most, try the advanced adventurer program and choose five different diving specialties to try out. Here are some of the specialties, Boat, Deep, Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN), Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility, Perfect Buoyancy, Waves, Tides & Currents or Wreck Diving.
The advanced adventurer program allows you to experience five different open water dives without having to complete the entire specialty. If you are unsure of your next step, this is the perfect way to advance your dive skills and to identify which specialty programs interest you. You will earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification after completing this program, and you may find your underwater passion.
Minimum Age: 10; 12 if Deep Diving dive is included
Certification Prerequisites: Open Water Diver
Note: Max depth is 30m /98 ft if Deep Diving dive is included.
Academic Sessions: Online learning
Open Water Dives: Not more than 5

The Diver Diamond methodology
Diver Diamond is the cornerstone of the SSI educational system. It emphasizes the critical components of a great scuba education program: Proper knowledge, Proper Skills, Proper Equipment and Proper Experience. The diver diamond is the foundation for the Ultimate Dive Experience.

Sometimes our activities may have to be rescheduled due to situations outside of our control, such as poor weather. Please note we reschedule in such situations, as described in our terms and conditions.
Please note that NZ Diving will offer alternate dates if conditions do not allow for safe travel or if minimum numbers are not met. In case of a cancellation we will reschedule the charter, we can put you on a different dive charter, you can use the amount paid as credit, transfer the credit to a different person or help with a letter for your travel insurance. Course sign up, online theory and certification costs will be paid to the training agency after signing up. These costs can't be a part of the credit, but the course can be transferred to a different training center if needed. Overseas participants are advised to carry travel insurance in case rescheduling is unsuitable.

To join one of our charters, you must have dived within the last 12 months – contact us if you need a refresher.
All participants must be diving certified to dive on a charter or undergoing a diving course with New Zealand Diving Limited.
All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 200m, unassisted.
